Our Partnership with New Orleans Mission

At Perino’s, growing a stronger community means more than cultivating beautiful plants—it means investing in the people and organizations that make Greater New Orleans a better place to live. For more than five years, we have been proud to partner with the New Orleans Mission and support its work throughout our community.

About the New Orleans Mission

The New Orleans Mission is a faith-based humanitarian organization dedicated to helping people affected by homelessness, addiction, human trafficking, abuse, mental illness, and other life-controlling challenges. Through emergency assistance, residential recovery programs, vocational opportunities, spiritual guidance, and long-term support, the Mission helps individuals move from crisis toward stability, independence, and renewed hope. How Perino’s Supports the Mission

Our partnership extends beyond a single donation or event. Throughout the year, Perino’s supports the New Orleans Mission in several meaningful ways.

Financial Support, Event Sponsorships, and In-Store Round-Up Campaigns:

Perino’s contributes over $10,000 a year through direct donations, event sponsorships, matching-gift opportunities, and other financial support. In addition to our direct contributions, Perino’s offers several opportunities to raise awareness and allow our customers to get involved:

Perino’s runs periodic “Round Up” campaigns, offering our customers the opportunity to round up their purchases at checkout.
We host Mission-related events and activities at Perino’s to introduce our customers to the organization’s work, share stories of transformation, and create additional opportunities for the community to get involved.
Perino’s participates in Mission fundraising campaigns such as Bail Out the Boss and Give Nola Day, which encourages local business leaders and their communities to raise money for the organization’s programs.

Supporting the Women of Lynhaven

Perino’s proudly sells handcrafted jewelry from Redemption NOLA, a program connected with Lynhaven Retreat. Lynhaven provides a safe and supportive environment for women recovering from homelessness, human trafficking, addiction, and physical or sexual abuse. Through creative and vocational opportunities such as jewelry making, women can develop valuable skills, earn income, rebuild confidence, and work toward a more independent future. Purchases of these pieces help support the women and the continuing work of the New Orleans Mission.

Each piece of Redemption NOLA jewelry comes with a story: on the back of the jewelry card, there is a name with a QR code which takes you directly to a short video of the creator’s journey through adversity and pathway to redemption.

Creating Employment Opportunities

Perino’s also supports the Mission by offering employment opportunities to individuals participating in its recovery and re-entry programs. The Mission’s Re-Entry Program helps individuals in recovery to prepare for a successful return to the community by providing structure, guidance, recovery support, and assistance developing the skills needed for employment and independent living.
